Install Figma Plugin

Find and install the plugin from the Figma Community

The plugin runs inside Figma and acts as the bridge between your AI tool and the Figma canvas. It receives rendering instructions over a local WebSocket and calls the Figma API to create native elements.

  1. Open Figma in the browser or desktop app.
  2. Go to the Figma Community (Resources menu or figma.com/community).
  3. Search for "ai.to.design".
  4. Click Install on the plugin page.
  5. Open any Figma file, then go to Plugins > ai.to.design to launch it.

Tips

  • The plugin must be open for MCP tools to work — it auto-connects to the local server.
  • You can leave the plugin running in a collapsed panel while you work.
