Connect & Use

Open the plugin and start designing

Once the Claude Desktop config is saved and the Figma plugin is installed, open the plugin in Figma — it connects automatically to the local connector process. Then ask Claude to render, edit, or export designs. No API key or account is required.

Tips

  • The MCP connection view shows the connection status — green means the plugin is connected to the local server.
  • Open Setup in the MCP connection view and pick your client to copy its config.
  • Every MCP tool is available with no quota or subscription required.
